Terms of Service

Updated:

1. About this service

GoodCard is an internal virtual card management platform. It lets an organization issue virtual payment cards to its team members, allocate spending budgets, apply spending limits, and review card transactions in one place. Cards are issued and processed through a regulated card issuing partner; we act as the management layer on top of that partner.

By accessing or using the platform you agree to these terms. If you use the platform on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.

2. Accounts and access

  • Accounts are created by registration and become active only after an administrator approves them. Approval also links the account to a dedicated spending wallet and card group.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password, two-factor authentication device and one-time codes secure. Do not share your credentials.
  • Each person may hold one account. Administrators may suspend or close any account used to impersonate another person or to bypass spending controls.
  • Notify an administrator immediately if you believe your account or a card has been compromised.

3. Virtual cards and spending

  • Cards are requested through the platform and issued only after administrator approval. An administrator may also issue a card directly.
  • Every card is bound to one wallet and one card group. You can only spend funds available in the wallet linked to your account; you can never spend from another member's wallet.
  • Spending limits (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or lifetime) are set at issuance and enforced by the card issuing partner. A transaction exceeding the limit is declined at authorization.
  • Cards may be paused, resumed or closed at any time by an administrator, including when a budget is exhausted.
  • Cards are for authorized business expenses only. Personal use, resale of card details, and any attempt to circumvent limits or controls are prohibited.

4. Budgets, balances and transactions

  • A pending authorization places a hold on your budget immediately. When the transaction settles, the hold is adjusted to the final settled amount.
  • Declined, cancelled or reversed transactions release the corresponding hold. Refunds are credited back to the wallet.
  • Transaction records are synchronized from the card issuing partner. The partner's records are the authoritative source in the event of any discrepancy.
  • Balances shown in the platform reflect the latest successful synchronization and may briefly differ from the partner during processing.

5. Card data security

Full card numbers and security codes are never stored in our database or in our logs. When you reveal card details, they are fetched directly from the card issuing partner for that single view, over an encrypted connection, and are not retained afterwards. Revealing card details requires re-authentication and is rate limited and recorded in the activity log.

6. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the platform for unlawful payments, fraud, money laundering, or any purpose prohibited by the card networks or by applicable law.
  • Do not attempt to access another member's wallet, cards or transaction data.
  • Do not probe, scan, or interfere with the platform's security, availability or integrity.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access, pause cards, or restrict spending where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, where required by our card issuing partner, or where necessary to prevent loss. Where practical, we will explain the reason.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, partner outages, or events beyond our control may interrupt access. Card authorization is handled by the card issuing partner and continues to follow the limits already set on each card.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Changes take effect when published on this page. Continued use of the platform after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
